The Shipping Pass-Through

We do not profit from the movement of goods. If a carrier charges $30 to move a comforter, you pay $30. If we round up to a flat rate (e.g., $6 for a journal), that buffer is used exclusively to offset carrier volatility, ensuring we never have to raise the $5.00 profit cap.

A Note on Logistical Rounding: Shipping is a volatile variable. To keep our checkout process high-fidelity and simple, we round shipping to the nearest dollar or half-dollar. If we collect an extra amount on a given order, that change is held in the Forge Buffer to offset the times a carrier raises rates unexpectedly. We do not treat shipping as a profit center; we treat it as a shared utility.
