About
My name is Tracy Oppermann.
Before I'm a founder, developer, or entrepreneur, I'm a husband, a father, and a believer in second chances.
My journey hasn't been a straight line.
I've experienced loss, struggled through difficult seasons, made mistakes, started over more than once, and learned that some of life's greatest lessons come from the moments that break us. Along the way I've worked in fast food, retail, insurance, drafting, technology, and software development. Every role taught me something valuable about people, hard work, and perseverance.
Today I spend my days working a regular job, building Lumavel in my free time, reconnecting with my children, writing, learning, growing in faith, and trying to leave the world a little better than I found it.
Lumavel wasn't created because I wanted to build another tech company.
It was created because I believe creators, small businesses, and communities deserve better tools, better opportunities, and a place where people matter more than algorithms.
Everything we build is guided by a simple principle: Be a little better today than we were yesterday.
A better husband. A better father. A better friend. A better coworker. A better business. A better community.
I don't claim to have all the answers.
I'm simply building, learning, and growing one day at a time.

Building in Public
I have switched to building in public. Lumavel's focus today is the creator ecosystem—Shopping Plaza for partners, tools that help makers grow, and Prism for digital goods.
I will constantly be working to improve that ecosystem and listening to the community to see what we should build next. The roadmap is not a fixed slide deck—it follows real feedback from real people.
